Bio Statement

Dr. Henry is a professor of neurology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He is primarily affiliated with the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview where he sees patients with a specific focus on epilepsy. Dr. Henry currently serves as the Core Faculty Member at the Center for Neuroengineering at the University of Minnesota.

Research Interests

Dr. Henry's research interests focus on epilepsy and other disorders of consciousness with special emphasis on diagnosis, pathophysiology, and therapy including surgery, anti-epileptic drugs, and neural electrical stimulation.

Research Projects

Dr. Henry's most recent research projects reflect his various research interests. In 2008 he began a study sponsored by the University of Minnesota Institute for Engineering in Medicine entitled "Cooling Human Neocortical Seizure Foci" in which he was a co-investigator, and he recently completed a clinical trial sponsored by the National Institutes of Health that compared radiosurgery and lobectomy for the treatment of temporal-lobe epilepsy.
