To provide the highest quality in diagnostic evaluation and management for each of our patients with neuromuscular disease.

Overview

Neuromuscular diseases encompass a broad spectrum of disorders, which may involve motor cells of the spinal cord, motor and sensory nerves in the limbs, muscle and the transmission between nerve and muscle. Examples of clinical conditions managed by our Neuromuscular Disease Specialists include amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), both acquired and genetic forms of peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, myositis and muscular dystrophies. Our providers also have specialized diagnostic expertise in electrophysiologic testing of nerve and muscle also known as electromyography and nerve conduction studies. Other specialized testing includes skin biopsy for the evaluation difficult diagnostic cases of painful peripheral neuropathy, exercise forearm testing and expert review of muscle biopsies.
